| When ALPINE Archery set out to design tough, fast shooting bows that
could take the rigors of hard hunting they probably weren't overly concerned
with vibration, shock or the smoothest shooting bow. They are now, and
the new FATAL IMPACT is living proof that eye-popping speed is not the
only true measure of a bow. The FATAL IMPACT successfully combines speed
with quiet, smooth and relatively shock and vibration free shooting.
The
FATAL IMPACT is part of the VX line of high performance risers that feature
a Parallel Limb design and ALPINE's new Bi-Polar Riser dampening and
'Inter-Loc' Limb Mounting System. This unique system is designed to stop
the limbs from moving during the shot sequence, which will quiet the shot
and reduce vibration. The design first encases the limbs in a nylon liner,
preventing the limb from contacting the riser. This is then fitted into
an innovative limb pocket where it all acts to dampen the shock and vibrations
of each shot.
Alpine President Bob Proctor, "Our main goal for 2003 was to build on
the total strength, performance and quality of our products but also eliminate
the vibration, shock and noise that both lessens the shooting experience
and the success of the archer. The FATAL IMPACT delivers outstanding performance
and control with a long reflexed riser for a longer field of view than
most bows today. Our new 'Inter-Loc' Limb Mounting System is standard
on this fine bow and will assure unequaled limb control, shot after shot."
The new Parallel Limb FATAL IMPACT has a mass weight of 4.2 lbs, is
34" axle-to-axle, and comes in draw weights of 50, 60 and 70 pounds in
65 and 80% let off. The hot, perimeter weighted, single cam offers draw
lengths from 27" through 31". It is available in Realtree Hardwoods Green
HD camo with a two-piece wood grip.
