NIKON Announces Two New PREMIER LX Models

Two new LX binoculars to carry on the tradition of unexcelled
optics and unequaled durability -- in a more compact package
that appeals to the most demanding hunter."
The Sports and Recreational Optics division of Nikon Inc has introduced a pair of new, ultra-high grade, roof prism binoculars.  Each model has been designed to provide the highest level of optical performance, durability and mechanical precision for the hunter.

According to Nikon, the new Premier LX 8x32 and 10x32 binoculars combine the latest in optical design with ultra-modern engineering technology.  They join the Venturer LX 8x42 and 10x42 binoculars, which have been named "Reference Standards" by Steven Ingraham of Better View Desired, honored as "Best of the Best" by Field & Stream magazine and awarded "Gray's Best" by Gray's Sporting Journal.

According to Jim D'Elia, Nikon Vice President, "Nikon expects the two new LX binoculars to carry on the tradition of unexcelled optics and unequaled durability -- in a more compact package that should appeal to the most demanding hunter."

The new LX 32mm features a state-of-the-art optical system, incorporating a patented eyepiece lens design for superior sharpness, clarity, and complete flatness of viewing field.  Nikon's specially formulated Eco-Glass, made without the use of arsenic or lead, is used for all lenses and prisms.  Fully multicoated 32mm objective lenses provide generous exit pupils for maximum brightness in any light condition.  Nikon's phase-correction coatings, along with high reflection silver prism coatings, allow superior color contrast and clear, round images free of vignetting.

Nikon LX 32mm binoculars offer extra-long eye relief, (16mm in both the 8x and 10x versions) to accommodate most eyewear, while user-friendly twist-out rubber eye cups enable viewers with or without glasses to easily share the same binocular.

The LX series features a precise, conveniently located central focus control positioned for fast, easy focusing.  A newly designed locking diopter maintains left/right vision balance.

The 8-power LX has a 7.8-degree angle of view and a 408-foot field of view at 1,000 yards while the 10-power version has an angle of view of 6.5 degrees and a field of view of 340-feet at 1,000 yards.  These large fields of view allow hunters to scan large areas rapidly and thoroughly for easier locating of game.

Both LX models weigh only 25.2 ounces and close-focus to less than nine feet, allowing easy portability and exceptional close-range resolution.  They measure just 5"x 5.4".

Nikon Premier LX 32mm binoculars are O-ring sealed and dry nitrogen filled for total waterproof, fogproof and shockproof performance.  Tough protein rubber armor enhances durability and provides a sure grip -- wet or dry.

Nikon LX binoculars are available exclusively at Nikon Premier Optics Dealers nationwide.  Suggested list price for the 8x32 LX is $1080.95, while the 10x32 LX is priced at $1120.95.  Like all Nikon Binoculars, Premier LXs are covered by Nikon's 25-year limited warranty and the exclusive $10 No-Fault Repair/Replacement policy.
