Muzzy is proud to introduce one of the most innovative
and well conceived ideas of the past decade of advancements in the archery
industry. The product, developed by Joe Angeloni, is called
"Zero
Effect Arrowrest TM"
and it brings arrowrest technology in line with the huge strides made in
developing lighter, faster bows and arrows over the past few years. The
concept is simple; if the arrowrest is the source of many tuning problems
attributable to flex, torque and clearance, then lets do the obvious...
lets make the rest DISAPPEAR ON RELEASE. |
 |
At the beginning of the draw the Zero Effect Arrowrest
is down and away from the arrow. As the arrow is drawn, the unique hook
shape of the rest rises and "grabs" the arrow from any position on the
shelf sliding it onto the "V" notch for release. |
 |
Approximately three quarters of the way through the
draw the arrowrest makes contact. The arrow slides inthe the "V"
and the rest begins to lift the arrow into a launch position. This happens
smoothly and quietly and is driven by the action of the cables on the cable
guard. |
 |
At full draw the arrow is in a normal pre-shoot position,
but at the moment of release the Zero Effect Arrowrest drops down and away
as the cable slide zips forward. The result is perfect arrow launch with
no drag, no interference and no torque because the arrowrest isn't even
in contact with the arrow. |
Zero Effect Arrowrest TM
Solves These Common Problems
|
| PROBLEM Incorrect arrow
spine creates an erratic arrow flight regardless of care in tuning. |
| SOLUTION Because the
Zero Effect Arrowrest drops out of the way on release it cannot affect
the flight of a wrongly spined arrow. You should still pay attention to
arrow spine for safety reasons, but tuning problems are gone forever. |
| PROBLEM Nock and fletching
misalignment causes arrows to "slap" rest as the fletching clears the riser. |
| SOLUTION If you've
ever tried to get your fletching to pass cleanly through the little slot
between the prongs of your arrowrest, you know how frustrating it can be.
The Zero Effect Arrowrest is "gone" by the time the fletching reaches the
riser, and so is the problem. |
| PROBLEM Arrow flight
changes dramatically from field points to broadheads. |
| SOLUTION Changes in
impact when changing from field points to broadheads are many times attributed
to the broadhead "flying" differently when in fact they are actually "flexing"
differently across the arrow rest and changing point of impact. The Zero
Effect Arrowrest eliminates the need for mechanical broadheads by removing
the affect of variations in arrow flex across the rest. |
