This buck had just given me the perfect 15-20 yard shooting opportunity. He moved further along the edge and stopped and worked a scrape. Two does appeared on the opposite side of the grassy strip and the buck headed right for them. They ran away. He returned and repeated the doe scenario three more times. Finally he walked into the woods. Later a young buck worked the scrape and moved on. Zan hunted Cross Creek and a 2 1/2 year 8-pt with a 14" spread fed through 15 minutes after good light. At one time he was 13 yards from Zan. At 9:00 3 does walked through the area 45 yards out. And at 9:15 a lone doe came up from behind and scented him.
