BOWHUNTING WITH ZANO - An Online Bowhunt
Zan Christensen and I are bowhunting deer at Rancho Zano on the outskirts of the suburbs of San Antonio.

Day#1 - Before daylight we drove to Rancho Zano and Zan took me to my stand and went to his. At 8:45 a buck came through. He was in the brush and I couldn't get a picture. Zan saw 3 does at first light and 45 minutes later a wide buck came into the area, scented the does trail and followed it.

12:10pm: We're at Zan's home now. Earlier we went to a local mexican restaurant and had a swell lunch. This afternoon we are changing areas. Zan has some business stuff to do so I'm gonna take a nap. We will go out at 2:30.

Afternoon: "It was a big Brusier," Zan told me. "50 yards from my stand. Zan grunted. The bruiser stopped. Waited a moment. And continued on. I grunted again. He stopped. But not for long, he walked away." Earlier, at this Park Place stand, Zan had seen a 6-point chasing a young doe and the "Crab Claw" buck. At 6:00 a spike came through. I zipper at the Ridge stand.
