Rick Combs - The Word From Bowhunting World 

"I was real surprised when the guide told me I could take the buck that was coming down the sandero toward the blind I was hunting in. I put the sight pin on him and released. The arrow hit the buck's antlers, it had glanced off the top of the blind's shooting window. I figured it was over."

Forty-five minutes later he came back down the same road. this time I set up a little higher and made sure I had clearance over the top of the blind. It looked and sounded like a perfect hit. The buck darted off into the thick brush. We couldn't see him but heard him running."

"We waited a couple of hours and went in after him. It was really thick and we had to crawl through some of it. He was 40 yards away. We had a real hard time dragging him out of the thick brush and cactus. I am still picking cactus spines and thorns out of various parts of my anatomy."
