Wade Nolan's Writers Camp And Whitetail Bowhunt! Mark Weiser - The Peace Sign Buck
Mark prepared the area with his 24Seven products. He used his "dominant buck" in two scrapes and treated overhanging branches with Early Buck. Then he laid a scent trail with Doe Estrus between the two scrapes. On Tuesday morning's hunt he saw the buck come to the scrape near his treestand, standing broadside. But Wade Nolan was videoing Mark's hunt from a stand 10 feet away and could not get the buck on video from where he was sitting. That afternoon they saw a few bucks work the scent and two snort wheezed and run other bucks around. The freak buck did not show. Wednesday morning the Peace Sigh buck appeared early. He went to the scrape right away and smelled it. Then he chased some smaller bucks around. Mark held tight, hoping for a chance to shoot. Finally, the buck returned to the scrape again. Then he put his nose on the ground and followed the doe estrus trail and stopped at a perfect angle for Mark as well as the video. Mark took the 15 yard shot. It was a complete pass through and the buck ran to the edge of the woods and disappeared. The hunters waited half an hour and Mark walked to the where the buck had entered the woods. He saw the buck laying in the cactus and brush 10 yards away.
Mark is the owner of MDR Scent company, the makers of 24 Seven deer scent solution. He brought in the Peace Sign buck with 24 Seven dominant buck and doe estrus. The broadhead was a Grim Reaper Razor Tip, while treestand hunting with ASAT Camo,
