Day 1
Jim Autrey and I arrived at Oran Hill's ranch in Bell county at 2:00pm. We are filming for the Texas Deer Hunter TV Show (TexasDeerHunter.com). Brenda Lacy met us and showed us 3 stand sites. We decided to hunt Brenda's "Favorite" stand. we returned to the site and Brenda and I sat up a ladder stand for Jim to use for videoing. After that we showered, got on our hunting clothes and were ready to go it was after 4:00 -- so we got out late. The wind was up but it laid at 5:00 and the woods was still and serene. But no deer or wild hogs showed this afternoon at Brenda's Favorite stand.

Back at camp we ate dinner and then visited with Oran Hill around the fireplace. Brenda showed us video of wild hogs and bucks that she has videoed at the stand we hunted. One buck looks to have a 20 inch spread and a big boar with long tusks and white markings on his face look interesting. Tomorrow morning we are returning to Brenda's stand again, maybe the 20 incher and/or the white faced boar will show up. Next Day...
