I disappointed. No pictures. And still don't know why. I ran through the
Menu and re-did the settings and put the rig at the food plot. When I went
back for pics it had some. Go figure.
The camera, a Bushnell digital infra red unit, went back out on November 21. The next morning, Nov 22, I downloaded the pictures from the disk. There were 5 different bucks and several does in the pics. AND ... a familiar shaped rack. The Wide-8 buck from last year. But this year he has 10 points and a kicker. Here are the pics. As daylight was on the down side -- and I was hunting somewhere else -- the Triple Kicker buck bopped up in front of the camera at the food plot. Here are the TK Pics. Rolled Wire Annex
So Now We Know ... Wide-8 is back. So is Triple Kicker. The game camera pictures show that the number of solo does is declining and does are getting back in their small family groups. So a lot of does have been bred. The peak rut period is gonna un-peak quick. But the bucks will still be looking for does that didn't get bred and the early born fawn does that become mature enough to mate in December. It's gonna be interesting. The Plan ... For The Next Week
In the Afternoon I want to hop from one spot to the next. For instance, the Point has always been good for big bucks, and I can shoot a doe or a wild hog or a wild turkey gobbler there too. And I'm ready to put some meat on the game pole. (But I won't shoot anything but a buck at the Last Barn or Rolled Wire Annex. I don't want to disrupt this area by walking around and tracking in it.)
