The Search for Wide-8

His picture showed up on the game camera at the food plot on November 22. Wide-8 was back. But bigger.

This years rack had 10 points instead of 8. Plus a nice sized kicker. I added the picture to our PhotoBlog on Bowhunting.net. 

Wide-8+2+K was standing behind another buck so I cropped it so your can see him better.

He showed up a couple of nights later.

Last year I saw him at the area I call the Last Barn and got several pictures.

Last year I hunted the Last Barn area with a Double Bull ground blind -- and I stacked old hay bales and rusty tin panels around the blind so it would, hopefully, look like part of the the barn.

This year I got  the  help of my friend Perry Wicker and framed up a blind that was. large enough to stand up in. I nailed up tin on the sides. But the tin had issues. Since I didn't do too good a job putting it up the darn stuff rattled when the wind blew. Deer still came through the area but when they passed by the rattly tin contraption they gave it an extra 20 yards. 

So I did a little remodeling and Perry cut me wooden walls, one even has a door. When Bryant and Jensen were down they helped me nail the thing together and put the tin back up. (The tin is my camouflage for the blind. It sets in front of the Last Barn -- which is a tin hay barn.) 

Enough of the talk about setting up for Wide-8+2+K at the Last Barn. Lets fast forward to the mooring of December 7, when Wide-8+2+K finally found me. CONTINUED...
