Another doe came from my right.

And another.

Then a young buck got right up under me and I pointed the camera down through the limbs and took its picture. It heard the camera writing to its CD and looked up -- and all around. I couldn't risk another picture. It never located me so it soon lost interest and passed by.

It can be a tricky situation when the deer come from both sides of you. These does appeared on my left.

And headed for the food plot.

Next I saw a spike, it came when the light was fading. It walked right under me and I got several pictures when it moved into the clear but the light was too low and you could barely make out the buck. Soon an 8-pointer came from my left. Three more bucks appeared but there wasn't enough light to get a count on their points.

Darkness came. Now ... here is the dilemma I face when I hunt by the food plot. It gets dark and deer are in the food plot and could be anywhere around me in the woods. I don't want to let them know I am on the planet, let alone in their back yard. So I wait patiently. Soon I hear the Duck coming on his 4-wheeler -- right on que. He drives up to the food plot. The deer all move away as he approaches. Once they are gone I get down and go to the house.   :-)
