We had put a lot of pressure on the buffalo and Rick and I thought following them right now would be a mistake. We needed to give them a rest. Mike agreed and said that if they got pressured too hard they would run when they saw the truck or us on foot. He added it could take days of trying to finally get close enough to a bull for a bow shot.  Mike wanted to check on two hunters who were down from Pennsylvania so Rick paced around and I found a shady place and sat down in it. We had done a lot of walking this morning and I didn't mind taking an extended break.  Rick came over and we waited for an hour, talking about the hunt so far. On this particular hunt Rick is going for a buffalo and I came along to take pictures and hog hunt. I got a buffalo back in 1982 or 3 along with JimboTx and Fred Lutger. My buffalo dropped in 70 yards but JimboTx's got mean with us and while we rested up I told Rick all about it. I clicked the camera on video and pointed it at Rick and told him to talk about the hunt so far. Rick On Video... Then Rick said he wanted to make a message for his son Ricky. Hey Ricky Video... While we waited we saw 4 Aoudads on a nearby slope. They didn't stick around long enough for me to get zoomed in on them with the camera. But a group of hogs showed up on the same slope a few minutes later and I got their pics.  When we saw Mike's truck we walked over to it and got in. Two of the Pennsylvania hunters had gotten wild hogs. We drove around. There were no buffalo in sight.  Mike drove to a few vantage points and we located the herd in a valley near a koleche road that went to a gas well.  Minutes after I took the picture above we were on our way to the buffalo.
