Making Arrows On The Run
 
An unsung advantages of the Double Bull blind is that you can do things you couldn't do otherwise. I like to fletch up arrows a half dozen at a time and I can do this inside the blind just as easily as at home or in camp.

The Magic ingredient for making arrows "on the run" is the Arizona E-Z Fletch from AZ Rim. On this trip I had Carbon Express arrow shafts so I brought along the Carbon model fletcher. This year I fletched arrows in the blind on both the wild turkey and the bear hunts. 

Here's how to make arrows when you're hunting.

I bring along the feathers, a tube of glue, a couple of EZ Fletchers, and the arrow shafts. (The colorful blue Easy-Eye arrow wrap were put on the shafts two days before.)  Step One is to get out 3 feathers. The feathers are the Blue Barred ones from Gateway Feathers. They match the blue wraps perfectly.

The EZ Fletcher has 3 slotted arms. Using Gateway feathers I put a feather in each slot. (This is the 3 feather model.) 

Once the feathers are in place add glue to each feather. Don't worry about putting on too much glue. Magically, glue does not stick to the EZ Fletcher. 

Now we have glue on all 3 feathers and we are ready to apply the feathers to the arrow shaft. 

This is done by closing the arms and putting the cap that comes over the ends of the arms.

 In 10 minutes your arrow is ready. Slide off the cap and open the arms. . 

 Take the arrow out of the EZ Fletcher and bingo, we have a fletched arrow ready to hunt with. 

Then lean back and be invisible.
