First Jason checked his Trailtimer, it had gone off at 7:01 pm. At 5:30 Jason heard a bear approaching. It walked right under his treestand and went to the bait.

Jason was excited, he drew, aimed and shot. The arrow hit a tree and the bear ran away. The bear came back and circled the area 4 different times. Jason waited to let the boar come to the bait and eat, so the bear would relax. It did but retreated with some bait. The next time in Jason drew and made a broadside shot. The bear ran a short distance and the woods got quiet. Jason waited 20 minutes and walked to the road to wait for his ride. When KIrby arrived they tracked the bear a short ways.

Suddenly the bear stood up on it's hind legs, it was still alive! Jason shot it again. The bear ran and crashed and they heard the death moan.
