Dave took the long walk to the stand -- it was hit -- and he baited it. Dave's string Trailtimer was triggered also. He saw a bear 50 yards away, it was  cautious and took a long time coming in. Finally it came to the bait area and went to the Trailtimer and pushed it around with his nose. He ate some candy that was near the bait and approached Dave's Trail Camera from the side and pushed it with his nose -- which turned the switch off!. The bear was still cautious as he moved some of logs off the bait. Dave drew several times and let down because the bear switched positions. An hour passed hour before he crawled up on top of the logs and turned broadside. This was what Dave was looking for and he drew, aimed and shot. The bear left fast, "He sounded like a bulldozer going through the timber."

Dave and Kirby looked for the bear but could not find it.

The next morning they found the bear in minutes, 75 yards from the bait.
