It is 5 days later, and the peak of the rut should be close, let's put on our rubber boots and go back in -- to see if the rutting activity of bucks and does is escalating in our Core Rutting Area at the December Tree. 
 

1. A quick check of the December Tree scrape and we see a notable change ... broken, twisted and stripped limbs above the scrape. 2. The scrape in the grass beneath the overhanging limbs is one scrape instead of two small ones, it's still fresh and is now over 4 four feet wide.
