After
your morning deer hunt you walk along in the woods, looking for deer trails,
rubs and other deer sign. Something up ahead catches your attention. You
look through the trees to see what it is. How many (of what) do you
see?
You have all the proper tags and licenses to harvest all legal wild game and it is bow season only. Do your Shoot? Pass? or Wait?
- Do you Shoot? Look at this! Two wild turkeys. And one is a gobbler in your shooting lane. Too good to be true. But a closer look reveals that the wild turkey on the left is a one legged decoy. However the two legged turkey on the right, the one in the clear, is a real gobbler.
- But we have a problem. It's that pop up hunting blind off to the right of the gobbler. Another hunter has this situation covered and hunting ethics as well as old fashioned courtesy require you to let that hunter have their hunt.
- Pass? Pass.
- Wait? Waiting could pay off if it turned out there was not a hunter in the blind.
