Information for adding your Club or Association's Web Site to our Bowhunting & Archery Club Center

Hi. Welcome to bowhunting.net's Clubs & Associations eCommunication Center. On this page you will find information on how your Club can be added to the Club's Web Site section.

Why is there a Clubs & Associations area at Bowhunting.Net?
Bowhunting and Archery Clubs are spread all over the web. They are on servers in their home town or on the big general audience web sites. Either way, they are hidden from the world, lost amongst tens of thousands of other home pages. And many have URL web addresses that are long and hard to remember, and almost impossible to type correctly!. In short, it is hard for people to find your Club's web site. And you do want other bowhunters and archers to find you, don't you? Well, now they can. Right here! 

How much does it cost? It's Free!
No cost. Nada. Zero. Cheap enough?

 Who can be in the Club Web Site section?
Our Club & Association's web sites section is open to all bowhunting and archery clubs, organizations and associations, so they can: 
  1. establish, 
  2. maintain, 
  3. and update -- their Club's web site.

 

 What If I don't know how to make HTML pages?
To build your HTML Home Page Residence you or someone in your club (or someone else) will have to know how to create your own pages in HTML format. If you're not knowledgeable of HTML programing and the FTP process you will have to: 
  1. Get someone else to make and upload your pages for you.
  2. Or, learn how to HTML and FTP.

 

 What will our Club's web address (URL) be?
Your web address (URL) is easy to figure. It is http://clubs.bowhunting.net/YourClubName 
with "YourClubName" being the name of your Club (maximum of 21 characters). 

 

 Is our content limited? (Content guidelines.)
No, not as far as information and anything about your Club or it's doings. The more you have to say about your Club, it's members, and it's events, the more your web site visitors will enjoy visiting your Club web site. There are two limitations:
  1. This is a Family Site and is accessible by all ages: men and women as well boys and girls. Comments, graphics, and links to or about material that is not appropriate for family viewing are not welcome here.
  2. This is Not a place for Commercial or Business web sites. If you manufacturer or sell bowhunting or archery products, or sell hunts or hunt memberships, you are a business, not a club or association. This is not a program for businesses to make a free business site or promote a business. We have several programs for businesses, from very cost affordable ones where you maintain your business site to full blown contracts where we manage your web presence. Business web site information can be found in the Bowhunting & Archery Business Center.

 

 Can our Club sell things on our web site?
Sure, feel free to do it. Patches, club memberships, shoot fees, T-shirts and other items with your Club Logo -- it's ok to sell anything that you normally would sell in your club newsletter or at the club. 
How "Big" can our Club Web Site be?
We don't have a limit. Use what it takes to build the home you want your Club to have on the web.

 

 How does our Club get our Free Web Site?
Email us at clubs@bowhunting.net. Tell us: 
  • the name of your Club is and where it is located. 
  • the name you want for your directory. 
    • Your directory name will be the last part of your url. For example, if your Club name was Dallas Bowhunters Assn. and you wanted your URL to be http://clubs.bowhunting.net/DallasBowhunters -- tell us "DallasBowhunters" (maximum of 21 characters). 
  • Briefly describe what your site or page will be about. (We are giving you a free web site with unlimited space, we are entitled to know a little about your Club or Organization.)
  • Email us the above information at clubs@bowhunting.net.
Once a name is taken it is gone. Two Club's can't have the same url. 

 

 Creating and Updating your Club's Web Site
When we receive your email we will create your directory and email you that it is ready. The email will include your FTP address for you to upload your files. Update it as often as you like.

Bowhunting.Net reserves the right to remove without explanation any site in the Bowhunting.Net Clubs Web Site area that is commercial in nature. As well as any site which has content or links we feel are lewd, vulgar or offensive.
