*2 lbs ground venison browned and drained *1 (8 oz can) tomato sauce *1 small chopped onion *2-4 garlic cloves minced *1 can mixed vegetables *1 tsp salt *1 tsp pepper *2 cups instant mashed potatoes *1 1/2 cups sour cream *2/3 cup water *1 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese
If baking, preheat oven to 350°. Brown your venison and drain if needed. If your pot is big enough just add the next six items(tomato sauce, chopped onion, garlic, mixed vegetables, salt and pepper) and mix well. Now it is ready to pour into baking dish or slow cooker. Combine potato flakes, sour cream and water; spreading over venison mixture of first seven items. Cover and bake for one hour in oven. For slow cooker cook eight hours on low or four hours on high. For baking, when done sprinkle with cheese and bake for five more minutes. If cooking in slow cooker sprinkle with cheese 30 minutes before serving.
