Excite Whitetail Doe In Estrus Scent

On the last day of our archery season I used EXCITE to make a drag-line to my stand. Shortly after daylight a buck followed my EXCITE covered drag-line to within 8 yards of my tree. He now resides in my freezer!

When it comes to using scents, calls, decoys or any other invasive method of pursuing whitetails I am very cautious and picky. It takes a real winner to become a permanent resident of my pack and after my testing, EXCITE has been given its own private compartment and an open ended invitation to stick around.

Wildlife's new EXCITE  is formulated through a proprietary process that renders the product thick and sticky - much like honey. This concentrated formula will not "skin" over like some gels on the market, which allows EXCITE to remain potent over long periods of time. Also, unlike liquid scents, it will not evaporate quickly or be washed away by rain. Application is simple; you can apply it in many ways including pouring and my favorite, branch dipping. Place the end of a small branch directly in the bottle, when you pull it out it will be coated with EXCITE. This method of application allows the user to place the scent at various heights and locations easily and within a few seconds.

I received my supply of EXCITE just in time for a trip to Ohio to hunt with good friend and fellow evaluator, Dave Conrad. I supplied Dave with a bottle of EXCITE and we were off to the woods. On the second day of the hunt I placed the scent on a few branches and then left the bottle sitting on the ground with the lid off.

An hour later a buck appeared high on the hill and slowly made his way toward me. He crossed a small drainage ditch and came right in to the EXCITE, stuck his nose directly on the bottle, and almost tipped it over. After thoroughly checking out the bottle and a few of the coated branches he moved on his way. That was exciting (no pun intended)!

Dave also used the scent and scored on a 140 class 10 point. You can see a picture of this impressive animal (the deer that is) on the front page of Bowhunting.net.

Next up was my home state of Pennsylvania. On the last day of our archery season I used EXCITE to make a drag-line to my stand. Sitting almost 25 feet in the air, I had a great view of the woods around me. Shortly after daylight a buck followed my EXCITE covered drag-line to within 8 yards of my tree. He now resides in my freezer!

As you can tell I am very impressed with Wildlife Research Center's EXCITE Scent. The consistency is perfect and the potency remains for a long time. This is one of the best scent products I have ever used - and I have tried a bunch. This one is definitely a keeper!

Usability: 5 of 5
Because of the thickness and sticky consistency of EXCITE it is ultra easy to apply.

Value: 4.5 of 5
At only  $9.99 per 1oz bottle and considering the results during limited testing you could hardly go wrong!
