| Well Golden Key has done it again. The leader in Arrow Rest innovation
has come up with another great Arrow Rest that is functional, durable,
good shooting and a whole lot more safer than most other Arrow Rests. This
Rest consists of a free rotating, nylon funnel with multiple strategic
slits in the side that can be adjusted to get accurate arrow flight with
vanes or feathers.
As with most Arrow Rests it can be used on right or left handed bows.
I have been using Golden Key Huntmaster 2000 Arrow Rests since they
came out in the early 80s but I think they have me changing all my bows
over to the Funnel Rest. Why? Well let me explain.
Putting this Rest on was a snap. Just tighten down the elongated bracket
to the plunger hole with the screw provided. Using the left right adjustment
move left or right until center shot is obtained. Simple. I have put on
thousands of Arrow Rests in my tenure as a dealer over the last 30+ years
as a dealer but this has to be the simplest I ever installed. Using Golden
Keys Center Gauge I had it on center shot in less then 2 minutes!!!!!
Now the test to shoot arrows was in order. I used feather fetched arrows
first. Four arrows went through the rest. There was a little bit of feather
disturbance on the arrows so I loaded an arrow and looked down the nylon
funnel. The slits in the funnel were not lined up. Following written instructions
I tightened down the screws in the rim of the cone and rotated the slits
until the slits lined up with my feathers. Now that they lined up I un
did the screws so that the slits were held in place. The next shots
went through perfectly with no disturbance between the feathers and the
funnel.
Plastic Vanes were next. As I shoot fingers I thought I would have problems.
When they hit the target, they hit in the same group as the feather fletched
shafts. The Vane fletched arrows grouped an inch low and slightly
to the left but all arrows were grouped together. I was happy but I wondered
why.
The next step was to paper tune it. So the paper tuning machine went
up and all arrows were going through just fine and dandy. To move
the group I readjusted my sight. I knew the arrows were flying straight
so moving the sight, like you do when changing any Rest, was in order.
This whole process from installing to tuning took less then ten minutes.
I was extremely impressed with the FUNNEL REST. It was easy to install
and took only a few minutes before I was shooting bullet holes. It was
also one of the quietest Rests I've shot lately. You can not hear the arrow
being drawn across the plastic 'tongs". I shot 2213,2016s and 2114
and all worked perfectly. I canted the bow right, left and upside down
and the arrow never moves. I really think this Rest will find great
favor with the bowhunter as it securely holds the arrow in place even if
you happen to drop the bow.
The FUNNEL REST is moderately priced at about $45.00 and should satisfy
even the toughest critic. For quality, ease of tuning and straight
shooting this Rest nicely fits the bill. For accurate, worry free shooting

This Rest will be around for years. It will retain its shape, its ease
of operation is just incredible and its silent operation will impress you.
Nothing to wear out and nothing to complain about that I can see or hear.
I wish that they could make it a little smaller but if it has to be this
size, well so be it.
It will stop cut fingers, as the arrow cannot fall off and since there
are no springs to lose and no metal launchers to fall off Golden Key has
a winner here.
