Hind Sight Versus Peep Sights

Hind Sight is for bowhunting what peep sights are for target shooting. Which is better for low light bowhunting conditions? More Accurate? Why? Here are the facts.
Hind Sight, the Bowhunter's Peep Sight Eliminator

Most archers that decide to use a peep sight will begin with a small aperture for accuracy. When they apply it to a hunting situation in low light, they realize that they cannot see their target to take aim.

This is caused by restricting the amount of light that reaches the eye causing the pupil to dilate. When this happens the eye cannot see beyond what is directly in front of it. It is a defense mechanism that happens when the eye tells the brain it is in the dark.

When you remove the peep sight from in front of your eye, light reenters it, the pupil contracts, and presto your target reappears.

So, what do you do? Most archers will either drill out their current peep or replace it with a larger one thinking that this will solve their problem.

It makes matters worse! Now not only can they not see their target in low light but they have also lost accuracy in bright light because the front pin is now floating in a large circle. Some peep sights are so large that it is equivalent to placing a sail in your string, creating drag and dramatically reducing the speed of your arrow flight.

Again, what can be done? Hind Sight has taken the concept of the peep off the string and placed it on the riser with its “patented peep sight forward design.” No longer do you have to worry about your string turning this way or that, rubber tubing snapping off at the worst possible time, peep sight creep caused by the string stretching, not being able to see your target in low light, or causing a decrease in your arrow speed. All of these common peep sight problems are eliminated.

The Hind Sight maintains a very tight aperture created by the open crosshair design, for pin point accuracy. The crosshairs glow in the dark which makes it very easy to center your front pin in low light without losing sight of your target. Now you can be sure that you are in the proper alignment and take aim no matter what the hunting condition or lighting situation.

The biggest bonus though is that the Hind Sight will eliminate bow torque 100%. This happens because both sights are attached to the riser. If you torque the bow the sights move in opposite directions letting you know that you are misaligned and forcing you back into the correct hold. This insures that you are pointing the arrow at what you are aiming at.

Let’s hear from some bowhunters and see what they think.

Brandon Roberts
Brandon Roberts – I bought my hind sight last year and it was the best money I ever spent. I absolutely love it, can’t beat it for low light conditions. It keeps you in perfect alignment every shot. I wanted to share a picture of my biggest buck ever. It’s an 8 pt. that green scored 128 5/8 with an 18 1/2 inside spread. I really want to thank you for a great product.
Mike Papiez
Mike Papiez - Just dropping a note to say thanks. Late in the evening on Oct. 20th I had the opportunity to arrow my first Pope and Young buck. He came in at dusk and I would never have been able to confidently take the shot if I had still been using my old peep sight! I love my Hind Sight CrossFire with the TruGlo TFO Pin.
George Hypke
George Hypke – Over the years I have never been completely satisfied with my hunting sights. After a great deal of research I settled on trying the Hind Sight II. Here is a photo of a B&C buck I took using your product. (Green Score 202)
Tim Marta
Tim Marta – On a recent trip to New Zealand - I took this Trophy Red Stag using the Hind Sight CrossFire. Thanks for making a great hunting sight.

Scott Gunter, Mathews Pro Staff – Here’s a picture of a buck I took using the Hind Sight CrossFire. Thanks for an awesome sight.
