NIKON's New Compact LASER600TM Rangefinder

Nikon sets a new standard in the rangefinder for hunters. Super compact, exceptional range and accuracy at an affordable price.

NIKON ANNOUNCES COMPACT LASER600TM RANGEFINDER

Nikon Sport Optics, a growing force in the development and production of laser rangefinders, has announced the addition of a new, super compact model with exceptional range and accuracy to its popular rangefinder line.

The Laser600 is a highly compact, water resistant laser rangefinder that will accurately display distances from 11 yards to 99.5 yards in .5 yard increments, and from 100 to 600 yards in 1 yard increments.  This level of precision is made possible by Nikon's advanced microelectronics and optics, and will allow all hunters, including those that bowhunt and rifle hunt, to gauge distance more precisely for accurate shot placement.

The Laser600 features precisely ground and polished lens glass that is multicoated with anti-reflective compounds to improve light transmission, clarity, and color rendition.  The unit utilizes a high contrast LED display to provide fast, accurate targeting against any background or in any lighting conditions.

The Laser600 incorporates a six power monocular with a 20 millimeter objective lens for an exit pupil of 3.3mm.  The eyepiece can be focused by the user, with a range of +/- 2 diopters, and the unit delivers an exceptional 17mm of eye relief.  The Nikon Laser600 has a real angle of view of 6.3 degrees, translating to a wide, 37.8 degree apparent angle of view and a field of view of 330 feet at 1,000 yards.

Nikon's Laser600 measures ranges in yards or meters, and features an automatic power shutoff after the reading has been displayed for eight seconds.  It measures 3.7" x 2.8" x 1.6" (a little bigger than a normal pack of cigarettes) and weighs just 7.3 ounces without the included battery.  It is powered by one commonly available CR-2 lithium battery and an internal display shows the user how much battery power is remaining.

The Buckmasters® Laser600 is available in a black matte external finish.  The new Team REALTREE® Laser600 rangefinder features REALTREE's newest camo pattern, REALTREE Hardwoods® Green HD® (High Definition), which provides maximum concealment in a variety of terrain and hunting situations.

The new Laser600 rangefinders are protected by Nikon's exclusive one year warranty and will be available in 2003.  Pricing for the Laser600 will be $299.99 for the Buckmasters® version, and $329.99 for the Team REALTREE® version.
