Rocky Mountain IRONHEAD Solid Steel Expandable Broadhead

A compact, super tough two-blade expandable broadhead that starts with a traditional, razor sharp blade insert tip that slices on impact.
BARRIE Archery, maker of the time tested Rocky Mountain Broadhead line designed a very successful broadhead they named the IRONHEAD. It has remained one of the company's most requested 125 grain, replaceable blade heads. With the company philosophy of continuous improvement, they have taken the one-piece concept of the IRONHEAD and transformed it into one lethal and durable expandable.

The "IRONHEAD XP" is a compact, super tough two-blade expandable broadhead that starts with a traditional, razor sharp blade insert tip that slices on impact. The twin expandable blades are designed to rotate back into their open cutting position where, when combined with the razor insert cutting tip work to maximize penetration.

Bruce Barrie of Barrie Archery states, "We are really excited about the potential of our new one-piece, solid stainless steel body design of the IRONHEAD XP. It's basically a hybrid of our most durable fixed blade broadhead combined with the no o-ring concept of our Gator expandable. This is one lethal, compact head that will fly like a field point, cut on impact and achieve maximum penetration to take on the toughest game animals."

The new IRONHEAD XP sports these exciting features: a one-piece ferrule machined from solid, stainless steel, a traditional cut-on-impact tip and two razor sharp .030" stainless steel blades. It also has a 5/8? closed cutting diameter and 1 1/8" expanded cutting diameter. The IRONHEAD XP is available in 100 grains.
